The [DELTA] Server is now perpetually operational through advanced port forwarding. No Hamachi Networking is mandatory. I will now disband all Hamachi Networks tied to NIASKA's IP as it VPN connecting is now obselete. As of the moment, the DELTA clan server will be continually updated by me and regulated by current moderators. Please enjoy the new clan server.
In conspicuousness of DELTA’s revival, I have instigated a tournament in regards to bringing the clan together. Beginning on [insert date] we shall have DELTA-members -only matchups structured in associating teams. As each team advances, that team will then be divided into two new teams and etc until the finale. Team organization will be established based on time zones. Niaska and FaZe will be the spectating moderators of this competition. Also, matches will be held at various times in accordance to the majority of the player’s preferences and at different dates so that everyone can participate.
Now the only problem is that we need a date! Choose your date and the final result will be update.
Ladies and gentlemen, Ace of Spades 1.0 is finally out! Buy it now on Steam for a low one-time fee of $9.99.
Features of 1.0
4 awesome classes: The Commando, Marksman, Rocketeer and Miner, each with their own unique abilities and equipment.
New maps: Mayan Jungle, Spooky Mansion, Dragon Island, Bran Castle, London, and Lunar Base.
Free content packs! The first is coming out on the 20th of December, which includes 4 more maps (Heisville, Block Ness, Artic Base, and Castle Wars) plus a Capture the Flag gamemode and a new weapon: the snow cannon. World War I and II content is also planned.
IGN recently released an article regarding Ace of Spades 1.0. With it came a huge amount of information about classes. Yes, you heard that right. Players can choose between four classes, each with their own strategic roles and unique equipment. Let's get started! (Read up on the IGN article here: http://tinyurl.com/ck2l34f)
Soldiers are equipped with a wide range of destructive weapons, perfect for dishing out tons of damage.
Sneak around your enemies or wreak havoc from afar with this class, which includes the all-new, highly requested sniper rifle.
As an engineer, effectively build and protect all sorts of allied defenses.
Piss of your enemies by undermining their base in about three seconds. The drill launcher shoots out a drill that excavates out blocks in a long line in front of you.
At the end of their article, IGN talked about the upcoming Zombie Hunt gamemode. Basically, everyone spawns in as human except for one individual: the zombie. This infected tries to kill the survivors, in turn morphing them into zombies as well. Here's the catch: zombies cannot use guns, but are able to dig through terrain in an instant.
Let's face it - we're going to have to pay to play Ace of Spades version 1.0. Several of our members have already stopped playing, and it can be imagined that many more will lose interest as the game hits Steam this December. Being the tight-knit bunch that we are, let it be known that we will still live as the game dies. Maybe we'll move on to something else (Brick-Force, anyone?), but nonetheless, if you no longer want to be involved with Ace of Spades, try to hop on the IRC (or use the website's built-in shoutbox) to chat once in a while :)
In April of 2011, yet another first-person shooter, called
Ace of Spades, was released onto the gaming scene already dominated by massive
electronic moguls with millions of dollars to their names. Flash forward a year
later, and Ace of Spades has been downloaded over 2.5 million times, placed 8th
in the IOTY Players Choice – Indie of the year contest, and is expected to
explode onto Steam this coming December for fans relishing a unique and fun
gaming experience. But how, you may ask, does a lone developer achieve this?
First and foremost: innovation. Ace of Spades can be singled out for its FPS
elements mixed with the ability to customize your battlefield with the
placement of blocks. Bunkers, tunnels, massive fortresses and pretty much
everything that comes to your imagination can be easily brought to life with
the click of a button.
This marvelous pairing of execution and new well-renowned
developer, Jagex Games Studio, is sure to draw in quite the crowd for its 1.0
release. If you’re looking for a community-oriented, fact-paced and innovative
shooter, be sure to check out Ace of Spades for a low single-payment fee this
winter on Steam.
